It’s Almost Tarpon Time!

If you haven’t been watching…..”They’re Back”!  Tarpon have been caught from the Skyway fishing piers, and the bridge areas up the bay.  They were also seen crashing baits in the 90 foot hole this week ahead of the full moon.  The Suncoast Tarpon Roundup is about to begin its 84th year as the longest running tarpon tournament in the world.  Please help us make it one of the best.

There are lots of tarpon to be caught and released.  Registration is easy.  Our Captains meeting will be hosted by sponsor and angler Dave Travis, May 10th, 7PM at Bay Pines Marina.  Refreshments will be available.  Registration for the ten week 24/7 tournament is $125 at the Captains meeting and $150 all other times.  Most importantly kids under 14 years of age at the start of the tournament, Saturday, May 12th are FREE.  Just fill out a registration form at the Captains meeting or on line and mail it in.  Registration time will be the post mark.  Rules can be found on our page under the tournament tab and then click “Rules”.  Hope to see you at the Captains meeting, but if you need a quick answer just drop us a line via our contact page or Face Book.
